Pathfinder druid8/12/2023 ![]() The stereotype for druids is often the hippie pothead who wants to be in “tune with the natural world maaaaaan” or the raving conservationist who finds even the process of pitching a tent to be inimical to the way the life cycle should go. It fuels their spells and influences their lives from the ground up. This inevitable cycle of life is what gives them their power. Life leads to Death, which leads to new life. They are attuned to the cyclical nature of reality: Day and Night, Predator and Prey. It is focused through their connection to the living and breathing world through plants and animals. Primal: Natural magic of the physical world through an intense connection to all living things.Ī Druid’s power comes from the Primal Tradition.Occult: Esoteric Magic gained by willpower and finesse, or through the power of blood.Divine: Magic granted through the devotion to a deity of some sort.Arcane: Magic gained through study about formula and calculation of the nature of reality.Also armor you get should have the Wild enchantment on it.Magic in Pathfinder is primarily derived from four different traditions of magic: If you aren't into fighting in animal form, you might want a magic scimitar and a shield. ![]() ![]() Polymorphic Pouch is incredibly popular with druids. Big 6 is Ring of Protection (deflection bonus to AC), Armor (obvious), mental stat Headband (wis for druid?), physical stat Belt (str usually for druid, but could go dex or con), Cloak of Protection (resistance bonus for saves), and the normal neck slot item is an Amulet of Natural Armor (natural armor bonus).ĭruids usually skip the Amulet of Natural Armor because Barkskin scales with level and has a good duration. Well, druids usually go with a modified version of the big 6. Campaign is starting at level 1 and playing until character death or we all get bored of the game. Current stats with adjustments are Str 16, Dex 16, Con 20, Int 12, Wis 17, Cha 17 The GM said to think High fantasy and high magic like Planescape rules from back in the day. I am playing in a game where were stupid powerful and I have no idea what I should do for magic items. Because of this I have zero idea how to go about picking out magic gear to bump up my pc. My highest PC was a lvl 13 barbarian who had a +2 Amulet of natural armor, +1 kurkri, a +2 Falchion and had a whopping 200 Platinum to his name. So despite playing pathfinder for 5 or so years and even longer gaming with D&D 3.0-3.5, I've never played in a game where we used the standard rules for magic items and wealth.
